  • 2 cups watermelon chunks seedless, ripe
  • 1 small lime juiced
  • 5 fresh mint leaves for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon honey or simple syrup optional, for sweetness

Method
 

  1. Chop the ripe watermelon into small, manageable chunks using a chef's knife and cutting board, ensuring all seeds are removed. Place the chunks into the blender.

  2. Add the freshly squeezed lime juice and mint leaves to the blender. Pour in the honey or simple syrup if desired. Secure the lid tightly.

  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and vibrant pink, approximately 30 seconds. Stop occasionally to check for even blending.
  4. Pour the blended watermelon into a fine mesh strainer set over a pitcher. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula to press the mixture through the strainer, extracting a slightly grainy, translucent juice. Discard the pulp.
  5. Transfer the strained juice into a glass. Taste and adjust sweetness with additional honey if needed. Serve immediately or refrigerate overnight for a cooler, more infused flavor.
