  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 1/2 cup Tomato sauce savory, tangy
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 4 slices Cooked burger patties
  • Optional Toppings (e.g., jalapeƱos, herbs) your choice for customization

Method
 

  1. Slice burger buns in half horizontally using a knife on the cutting board.
  2. Place the skillet over medium heat and toast the cut sides of the buns until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Remove buns from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add burger patties and cook until warmed through and slightly browned, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Spread a tablespoon of tomato sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  5. Place a cooked burger patty on top of the sauce, then sprinkle shredded cheese over the patty.
  6. Add optional toppings like jalapeƱos or herbs on the cheese if desired.
  7. Cover with the top half of the bun and press gently to assemble.
  8. Optional: briefly microwave or put in oven to melt the cheese further if desired, until bubbly.
