- Pour fresh lemon juice into the blender.
- Add the sweetener, such as simple syrup or honey, to the blender with the lemon juice.
- Pour in the ice cubes into the blender, filling it to the top.
- Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is slushy and smooth, about 30-45 seconds. You should see the ice breaking down and the liquid becoming frosty.
- Stop the blender and check the texture; it should be thick, icy, and scoopable. If it's too runny, add a few more ice cubes and blend again briefly.
- Pour the slushie into chilled glasses, garnishing with a lemon wedge if desired.
