  • 1 pound lb salmon fillet skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce optional for added umami
  • 1 tablespoon oil for sautéing, such as vegetable or olive oil

Method
 

  1. Pat the salmon pieces dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon bites and sear for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey and soy sauce (if using), cooking for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return the salmon bites to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through and well-glazed.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra garlic if desired.
