  • 4 cloves garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Brush

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the baguette into about 1-inch thick pieces horizontally, then cut into individual slices if desired. Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well blended and the mixture turns fragrant.
4 cloves garlic cloves, 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, to taste salt, to taste black pepper
  3. Spread the garlic herb butter generously over each slice of bread using a brush or butter knife, ensuring even coverage and some pooling at the edges for flavor.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the bread edges are golden brown and crispy, about 12-15 minutes. Keep an eye on the bread to prevent burning, and look for bubbling butter at the edges as a doneness indicator.
  5. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool slightly before transferring to a serving platter. Optionally, sprinkle additional chopped parsley for garnish.
  6. Serve warm as a flavorful side or appetizer, enjoying the crisp crust and fragrant garlic-herb topping.
