Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the heavy cream and chicken broth, stir continuously until well combined. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then let it simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Transfer the chicken mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
