Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the block of feta cheese in the center of a baking dish. Surround it with whole cherry tomatoes and garlic halves. Drizzle olive oil over the feta and tomatoes, then sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until the tomatoes burst and the cheese is golden and bubbling.
While the feta and tomatoes are baking, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
Once done, remove the dish from the oven. Use a fork to mix the softened feta and burst tomatoes into a creamy sauce. Add in the cooked pasta and mix thoroughly. Add pasta water if necessary to reach desired creaminess. Garnish with fresh basil and optional chili flakes.
Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy the pasta warm, ensuring a bit of everything in each bowl.
